I-9 Compliance-ICE is Stepping Up Its Compliance Audits. Are You Prepared?

Recorded Session
90 Minutes

The I-9 Form is often described as the most complicated 2-page form ever created. What makes an I-9 inspection especially maddening is it does not matter if all your employees are authorized to work in the USA. What matters most to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is whether the I-9 form is filled out correctly.

In addition to increasing the number of inspections, ICE has also increased the fines for incorrect I-9 forms. The fines can range from $224 to $2,236 for each incorrect I-9 form depending on the percentage that is incorrect, and the number of times ICE has audited your I-9 forms. There can also be criminal charges filed against violators.

Recent I-9 Penalties issues by ICE:
Buffalo Transportation Company - $109,000 for not completing Section 2
Asplundh - $95 Million
Panda Express - $600,000
Florida Pizza Delivery Company, Pizzerias, LLC - $140,000
Don't let your company become a statistic.
